GemPharmatech and Humlab partner on global distribution of humanized mouse models
Illustration (decorative, not data).Summary
GemPharmatech is a leading Chinese genetically engineered mouse company and says it holds more than 30,000 knockout, conditional knockout, humanized and immunodeficient strains; Humlab is a Singapore-based developer of humanized mice. The agreement covers both companies' existing and newly developed humanized strains, including aging models, autoimmune and inflammatory models such as IBD and systemic lupus erythematosus, MASH metabolic models, oncology and infection models, and a new humanized-liver mouse. With the FDA pushing to reduce animal testing, growth for animal-model companies is shifting toward more “human-like” humanized models. Humlab's statements about engraftment efficiency are the company's own; the release did not include data.
